RJT/RJTA is a mission agency focussed solely on Japan. They are in close partnership, functioning on field like a single entity.
RJTA is a receiving entity within Japan handling prospective missionary inquiries, mobilization, applicant screening, placement, member care, and on-field receiving functions in Japan.
RJT is a sending entity in the U.S. handling donor and financial processing in the U.S. and serving as a primary sending partner for missionaries with a U.S. support base. A church can also fill this role. For RJTA members with a support base in another country, their church (or alternatively, potentially a seconding agency in that country) can act as a sending partner (consultation required).
